just about once a month

I can't believe -- just cannot believe that I haven't gotten the eighth Johto badge in Pokemon SoulSilver yet. I'm farting around with all these potential interests (writing, bass, biking, skating) and haven't focused on gaming at all. My 360 probably only gets played weekly. Uggghhh. I'm almost done typing out my journal; I'd say about two thirds done. It'll still be a rough draft once it's typed out. It'll just be easier to edit. Names, locations, and stuff like that still have to be altered for privacy to be kept. Regardless, I'm not only excited -- excitement being unusual enough -- but confident in my goals, which is more noteworthy than any excitement I can experience. If I manage to get this thing published, it will get noticed and I will be loaded. Daddy's getting a new house here soon. Ahaha.

Work is going well. There's nothing to it but hard work and being social. The latter used to be absolutely dreadful and petrifying to me even while I was medicated, but I can't even tell that I'm off my meds most of the time now. I persevered and can currently function perfectly fine without any form of medication. My boyfriend had my back and supported me the entire time. Thank you so much, Conejito! Te amo! Mi amor! lol. Not much else to say. I've been listening to a ton of music. I'm working on my writing more intricately so I can pursue a (moderately realistic) career involving both. My bass needs to be played. I need to practice! :( I haven't been working out as much as I'd like to, but if the weather stays this pretty, I'll kick myself in the ass if I don't get outside eventually.

Aaaand... here's my song of the moment. It's a Japanese band, ACIDMAN, covering the Disney Pocahontas song "Colors of the Wind." It's so, so, SO good. OH! I'll post Miyavi covering Nirvana's "Blew" as well. The audio is all you really need on the first video, but you should watch the second one.

The lead singer, Oki (Ohki, Ooki?) Nobuo, is cute as fuck. I have an interracial crush on him. <3>

And I don't find Miyavi attractive at all, but damn, he's an amazing guitar player.

I don't work Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. My paycheck was a hundred and six more dollars than my last, so I'm happy. I was afraid that with the tiny shopping spree I took my dad on for Father's Day that I wouldn't be able to pay the $190 (maximum) fee for my ticket. Luckily my paycheck can cover the entire maximum fee if needed. I was elated knowing that I could buy my father what seemed like anything he wanted. We went to Target with Teri (my dad's girlfriend/girl/friend) to blow time before assigning my court appointment; with our luck, they were out to lunch when we got there. In the end, I got my dad a forty dollar basketball for him to use at the gym, a DVD copy of Grandma's Boy, as well as the fifth and sixth season of Family Guy. All of it was about 80 bucks total and with spending 40 dollars taking my friends out to dinner the night before, I was a little low on money. I work 14 hours a week at a minimum wage job; give me a break. I took two of the four facial piercings out a couple days ago, one because it was inevitable, and one because I was mad at it. Realistically, my middle and right piercing are still open, but I don't like having both in at once, so I switch off every so often. It's not terrible. It could be worse. I'll just get more piercings that people can't see. ;9 lol.

That's about it for now. I'm going over to Zach's tonight with my father to get hammered and to steal Zach's old iPhone. Exciting! Anyway, Pokemon Pearl update!

Guess what I started playing again.



Sweet, right? I've been trying to find the game for over a year, and when I did, I found it fresh out of my washer. Shockingly enough, I could play the game, but couldn't save. If you've ever played a Pokemon game, not having the ability to save makes it practically unplayable. After Zach (friend), found both Silver and Crystal version at his old place (he was in the process of moving out), he rewarded me the lesser of two evils and I got Silver version. Unfortunately, I didn't have a system to play it on. My Gameboy Advance SP was broken by my sister years back, my Gameboy Advance was hidden somewhere in my mouse infested garage, and I was pretty sure my Gameboy Color was thrown out. After having Silver version for a week or two and asking numerous friends if they had an avaliable system for me to borrow, Samantha (another friend) found two Gameboy Colors lying in a white bag she had at the side of her room. She decided to give it to me. The rest is history. Or it will be once I start playing the game more fanatically. I have Rune Factory 2 out on rental, so I'm prioritizing, but trust me, Silver will get played. After playing the GBC for about, oh, three seconds, I realized not only was it not backlit, but even in sunlight, if held in a certain position, you couldn't even see the screen. It's stunning how old that made me feel. I've heard rumors of a remade version of Gold & Silver in the mix, but it turns out the box art was fake, and Nintendo hasn't confirmed anything about a remake. They've remade Red & Blue, so why not continue? It's hard to play an original GBC game when you're used to DS games. Damn you, Game Freak. Damn you, Nintendo!

Other than that, I've been fairly busy lately. It's been more with friends and less with resume finishing and job hunting and homework doing, but anything that gets me out of the house makes me feel stronger of a person. Anyway, Dad just put The Wrestler on, so I'm outie.
